Cognitive Hypnotherapy

Cognitive hypnotherapy — awake, in control, and aimed at the unconscious.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy combines CBT-style thought work with focused relaxation states (sometimes called trance) to access the unconscious mind, where many old patterns live. The client is fully awake, aware, and in control throughout — no “you are getting sleepy” theatre.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy in Prachi’s words: “Cognitive Hypnotherapy focuses on reaching a person’s unconscious mind to make the required changes in the unconscious world and transfer those changes to the conscious world.”

What it actually feels like

Like guided meditation, with a purpose. Eyes closed or soft-focused. Slow breathing. Prachi’s voice walking you through a memory, a feeling, sometimes an imagined scene. The unconscious — the part of the mind that holds your habits, fears, default reactions — opens up gently, and we plant a small change. Over weeks, the conscious mind catches up.

What it is good for

Who it isn’t for

Three takeaways

  • You are awake. You are in control. You can stop at any time.
  • The unconscious changes faster than the conscious — that’s the point.
  • Cognitive hypnotherapy is a tool, not a magic pill.

If you’ve done CBT and the pattern still runs.
